The project focuses on next-generation biosignal-driven interfaces for long-term use, emphasizing adaptability, robustness, and human-centered design with special focus on ethics and privacy.

The Prindle Institute for Ethics equips people to deepen their understanding of different moral perspectives and to think critically about the inescapable ethical issues of our time. The Manager of Campus Ethics Programs supervises and coordinates the Institute’s interactive ethics programming for undergraduate students at DePauw. One of the primary responsibilities is to manage the Institute’s year-long Hillman Internship Program.

The Intercollegiate Civil Disagreement Partnership (ICDP) equips undergraduates with the habits and virtues needed to engage meaningfully in dialogue across differences, both large and small. Through a year-long, cross-institutional fellowship, students from diverse colleges and universities train together in the practice of dialogue, learn to facilitate conversations across political lines, and help cultivate healthier cultures of disagreement on their own campuses.

The Midwest Ethics Symposium is an annual conference hosted by the Prindle Institute that convenes scholars, faculty, students, and alumni for intensive discussions on complex ethical issues. Each conference is centered around a particular theme. Past themes have included the ethics of philanthropy and the ethical challenges associated with new artificial intelligence technologies.
